La Teh

I was trying out my new app!!! LOL! I jumped on the Instagram wagon a tad too late and decided to try it out during Mother's day dinner at La Teh, Segambut. It's really awkward using a huge ass iPad to take pictures on Instagram, but you can see the difference!

This is Lemongrass Drumstick and it was delicious! It is similar to Ole Ole Bali's Satay Lilit.

This is the Vietnamese La Teh bread Sandwich with Lemongrass Chicken. This was absolutely delicious!!! Chicken with generous servings of greens! (9.95MYR)

This is Pad Thai which was soooo impressive!!! It looks bad like a blob of noodles but the taste is just outta this world...  we loved this!! (11.95MYR)

This is the best food!! We enjoyed the Nasi Ketuk with Fried Chicken immensely. The chicken is fried till crisp, the rice is served warm, with an egg and fish crackers. Very filling and delicious. (14.95MYR)
This was Daddy's drink which I thought was a tad too pricey. This is called the Legend of Lemongrass. It's quite refreshing and quite nice but at 9.95MYR, it's too pricey.

A meal for the 5 adults costs about this much... and i find it quite reasonable... Don't you think so.

The only problem was the location. It's so unaccessible and we needed 2 different GPS and at the end of the day, it's near Kiara/Desa Hartamas.... Anyways, for more info, do check La Teh out!!! You won't regret it.

Disgusting Things and Homemade Goodies

Had Frog meat with Aunty a few days back and I have to quote Andrew Zimmern, "It tastes just like chicken" and it does taste like chicken! I'm not exactly the adventurous eater but I don't even know what made me try it but that's my first and last time...

My mom instills the whole organic thing in me and I love her soy bean milk. 100% organic of course!!! It's a long and tedious process if we didn't have our secret weapon; a soy milk maker!!! Anyways, it's delicious and great for your skin!! I always take mine with "cincau" to cool my body off...

Who knew that a combination of butter and garlic could be so delicious! Don't ask me for the recipe but all I can tell you is, she blends a pack of butter with a few garlic and it's just magical. Anyways, this was what I had for brunch today.

Salad Day

We decided to have Salad night. It takes a whole lot of salad to feed 5 adults!! Thank God for Karin that did most of the chopping and cooking... Our salad is generous with leafty lettuce, Japanese cucumbers, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Grated Carrots, Boiled Potatoes, 10 eggs, a bottle of Pitted Olives, 4 pieces of Boiled Chicken Thighs and garnished with raisins.

Isn't it a super, duper salad? Well, glad to say that we finished the whole tray of salad!!!! And it was ABSOLUTELY YUMMY!!!
