I feel like I've had a deprived childhood because I never could eat, gummy candies because of the gelatin content. I don't consume red meat and gelatin is derived from animal's skin and bones. Most commonly used animal's are beef and pork.
Sad to say that, I've always has a steady supply of gummy bears and worms from AU and UK but most (almost all!) contained gelatin. Anyways, imagine my surprise when I saw a packet of Goody Good Stuff at Vitacare at Sunway Giza.
This gummy bears, are the tastiest (I can't say, because I haven't tried any gummy candies) but I can assure you that it's super duper delicious! I finished a whole bag in 1 day!! One gummy bear, you can tell that it's healthy goodness treat!!
The price isn't that expensive at only 6.50 MYR per pack and it's gelatin free, dairy free, fat free and contains no artificial coloring. The best part? It's all natural.
I tend to use and consume natural products in my life so, this candy fits into my life ever so easily!! It comes in 8 flavours so, you can choose all you want.

Levain Boulangerie & Patisserie

Went to Levain for dinner with Madrekins yesterday before my Terrorism class at Chulan Tower at 6:30PM... I rarely get to eat out when I have classes because The Parentals will rush from the office, send me to school and they'll have dinner together while I'm in class. So, I normally prepare quick meals except for today.
Today, is different because Madrekins is on leave to help me with my Passport. Anyways, we've always gone to Levain for good pastries, cakes and macarons but today, we decided to try their dinner menu. We had the Olio Aglio Seafood Pasta and the Creamy Seafood Pasta. The Olio Pasta is very delicious! It tastes like stir fried pasta with lots of seafood. I guess I still like the Creamy Seafood Pasta at Dave's than Levain.
I guess their forte is their pastries, bakery and not dinner. Menu mainly is all pasta and pizza dishes and Japanese curry. Would prefer something light like fish and Chips or chicken dishes... The pasta is not very filling and class ends at 9.30PM, I'm starving by the time I arrive home.
I had a slice of Noisette for dessert and it was good! I think fine desserts are tastefully done when used Dark Chocolate. The cake has a layer of Hazelnut Dacquoise , Dark 62% Mousse, Chocolate Flourless Cake and Pralinosa Mousse. Dark chocolate has a less sugar content and higher cacao content making it almost bitter like. i think it's an acquired taste.
Anyways, desserts here are delicious and I also like the macarons here. Do try it out, the place is perfect for tea time or breakfast.
Do check Levain Boulangerie & Patisserie out. They have a very nice website.

Epicurean: Macarons and Chiaroscuro
The box of deliciousness!!! 6 yummy assorted macarons in a box!!! My fav all time flavor has to be pistachio and chocolate and rose!!! It was delectable!! I DO NOT OWN THIS PICTURE, THIS PICTURE BELONGS TO GROUPON MALAYSIA. (I finished the box of macarons before I even made it home for some picture taking!) Sorry, I'm a glut!
I DO NOT OWN THIS PICTURE. THIS PICTURE BELONGS TO EPICUREAN CUISINE AND PATISSERIE/CHEF DAVID LEE. This is the absolutely gorgeous looking Chiaroscuro (Whole) and when I saw the picture, I really wanted to try it.Chiaroscuro: Chocolate sponge, dark chocolate mousse, and vanilla panna cotta. If you're expecting normal cakes, you won't find it here... You find a whole different type of cakes that you've never heard of and it's only for the adventurous and dessert appreciation society!
I know it's sinful but I cannot resist, I find myself thinking about the cake when I'm watching TV, sneaking little tiny slices of the cake and using the cake as a reward for finishing my assignments (Which I'm currently knee deep in! But that's a different story!) and I absolutely melt for the cake.
For you who are reading my blog right now, do go to Epicurean Facebook, LIKE THE PAGE and go through the Photo Album and browse till your mouth water at the delicious desserts and contact Chef david to place an order.
Simple as that. He's a really nice and friendly guy, trust me. he won't bite.

Sushi Making!
The finished product!! We used sliced mangoes, crab filament and seaweed!Decided to make sushi because I picked up a "thingy" to make sushi for only RM5!!! (In Daiso, everything is RM5!) Decided to play with it so, we boiled some Japanese rice, sliced some mangoes, filament sticks and Japanese cucumbers and make sushi!!
We're still noobs, so it's better to play it safe and not attempt complicated stuff like Soft Shell Crab rolls, Dragon rolls and etc... It would be so cool if I could make such sushi!!! But, will try when I'm home alone... till then, here are some of my favourite sushi!!
My all time favourite Dragon Roll!! Tempura prawns in a huge roll with Japanese mayo!! Deliciousness on a different level at Sushi Zanmai, 1 Utama.
All sorts of Temaki Handrolls!! Your choice of seaweed or tortilla!! With Spicy Ebi Tempura or Soft Shell Crabs from Pasta Zanmai, 1 Utama.
Deep fried crispy Salmon skin Sushi!! Too bad they don't serve this anymore!! It was delicious at Sushi Zanmai, 1 Utama. ~La Undomestic Goddess

Tamarind Springs, Ampang
What can I say about Tamarind Springs? Well, it's just a damn bloody romantic place to wine and dine with your loved ones. The location is really convenient for the beautiful breathe taking view and environment. I've always been in love with lush greenery and Balinese concepts. I really loved this place.
Since it was The BF's birthday, decided to take him here as a treat because I had assignments due and we couldn't go for a holiday. He's fine with it as I spent 400MYR here on dinner. This place is really romantic and we got a table overlooking the gardens and the golf club.
Food was good as well but would be better if the food was served piping hot. We ordered the Chicken And Coconut Soup (28MYR) which tasted like tom yum but just the sourness of the tom yum. This dis was served piping hot and filled with huge chunks of chicken meat.
The we ordered SeaBass with Spicy Sauce (85MYR) which the BF loved as he loves spicy dishes. Too bad that it served at room temperature. Then, as a treat and I'm a lobster fan, we ordered River Lobsters (32 Per Piece) which I loved. These are smaller than normal Lobsters but it was fresh and packed a punch.
We had vege and tofu stir fried (26MYR), Rice (10MYR), Pellegrino (24MYR), 2 Long Islands (56MYR) and 2 Zucotto (48MYR) and with service charge (34.10MYR) and 6% Tax (20.46MYR), the bill came up to 395.55MYR for the both of us.
Took some pictures and decided that it was a nice place to celebrate his birthday.
