Levain Boulangerie & Patisserie

Went to Levain for dinner with Madrekins yesterday before my Terrorism class at Chulan Tower at 6:30PM... I rarely get to eat out when I have classes because The Parentals will rush from the office, send me to school and they'll have dinner together while I'm in class. So, I normally prepare quick meals except for today.

Today, is different because Madrekins is on leave to help me with my Passport. Anyways, we've always gone to Levain for good pastries, cakes and macarons but today, we decided to try their dinner menu. We had the Olio Aglio Seafood Pasta and the Creamy Seafood Pasta. The Olio Pasta is very delicious! It tastes like stir fried pasta with lots of seafood. I guess I still like the Creamy Seafood Pasta at Dave's than Levain.

I guess their forte is their pastries, bakery and not dinner. Menu mainly is all pasta and pizza dishes and Japanese curry. Would prefer something light like fish and Chips or chicken dishes... The pasta is not very filling and class ends at 9.30PM, I'm starving by the time I arrive home.

I had a slice of Noisette for dessert and it was good! I think fine desserts are tastefully done when used Dark Chocolate. The cake has a layer of Hazelnut Dacquoise , Dark 62% Mousse, Chocolate Flourless Cake and Pralinosa Mousse. Dark chocolate has a less sugar content and higher cacao content making it almost bitter like. i think it's an acquired taste.

Anyways, desserts here are delicious and I also like the macarons here. Do try it out, the place is perfect for tea time or breakfast.
Do check Levain Boulangerie & Patisserie out. They have a very nice website.

Toast

For the perfect, wholesome toast, I use this bread from Lavender, 1 Utama. Cranberry and Pumpkin Seed Bread (I think!)
This is a sample of my lunch. Sunny Side Up Egg, 2 fish Fingers and Lightly Buttered and Toasted Bun with Bacon on top.
This is breakfast and it's super easy and fast. Oh, delicious and healthy to!!! I normally "toast" the bread in the oven so, I throw a few slices of baby back bacon in there so I don't have to use the oil to fry it. Healthy, right?

Breakfast Treats

After Ina Garten's Omelette For Two (Recipe below!) was such a success and I got egoistic and ambitious and attempted Sunny Anderson's Cooking For Real Breakfast Skillet Recipe and it turned out great as well. Unfortunately, i don't own a skillet and i don't eat beef (I substituted the beef chuck with minced chicken)

But these recipes are really easy and you should definitely try them out!

Remember my First Ever Blog back in 2011, August that I wanted to try Ina Garten aka The Barefoot Contessa Omelet for Two Recipe? Well, I finally got around to cooking it and it tastes great!!! Unfortunately, I only had 2 eggs in the fridge so, the egg-y mixture wasn't enough... Oh, and I put too much scallions but that's OK... Everyone loved it and it was easy to make!

Breakfast is the most essential part of the day and God knows i love breakfast and i love a full fledged English breakfast! You can't find food like these in Malaysia because we're a very deprived nation and we dislike anything Western. (That's what I think, or they don't have the skills!)

So, I have to attempt to cook these breakfast if I want to try them because that's the only way. Anyways, I'm glad I did and it was lovely with some hot lemon tea and I enjoyed every single bite of it! Honestly, I'm sick of McD's Breakfast or KFC Breakfast! And my classes are not in the evenings so, I can have breakfast delights, the whole day!!!
