Chocolate Tarte

My previous blog on Chocolate Mousse has been haunting me and taunting me. I haven't attempted in baking it since I blogged about it in August. I procrastinated until now. I figured out that it's now or never.

I turned the balance of the Pastry Shell into little mini bite sized cookies. I loved the pastry and it's just delicious.
I finally decided to use Tyler Florence's Chocolate Tart recipe instead of combining 2 different recipes.
The tart has a mousse like texture and I put it in the fridge before serving and it really makes a difference. It's delicious. I have to say so myself.

Spice Goddess and Vietnamese Spring Rolls

Over the Malaysia Day weekend, I was really productive in catching up with my cooking and baking and my weekly dose of cooking channel. I've never watched The Spice Goddess and when I turned on the TV, she was making this delicious looking but healthy Roti.

Anoop's Weekend Roti looks delicious and I just have to find out more about these healthy looking roti. Can you imagine how healthy it is??? It's made with Cauliflower, cilantro, ginger, coriander and wheat flour.

I read the reviews and so far it's been very positive but the recommend using wheat flour bought from Indian / ethic speciality stores. The recipe seems fairly simple and fast. maybe I should give it a try. Maybe next week?

Had a very productive day because I cooked and baked! I didn't technically cooked, but I prepared lunch. Vietnamese lunch, to be precise.

Vietnamese Spring rolls are very healthy and you can generally put in anything that you want.

We opted to use Vietnamese Vermicelli, grated cucumbers, steamed chicken and prawns and the must have; lettuce.

All you have to do next is assemble it, roll it up and enjoy. It's normally served with some Vietnamese chill sauce but we couldn't find any.

The secret? These rice paper rolls from Vietnam. You can find them in ethnic restaurants and we kinda got this packet from a Thai restaurant in Mid Valley.
